- The center parking area roped off for Family Fireworks ...
- Music and a TV to count down to the new year...
- A 3 Foot Cannon to ring in the new year
- Lots of Food, Drink, Socializing & A Great Time with Your Neighbors!
What should you bring?
- BYOB
- Food IF you want to cook.
- A side dish IF you want to. (Desserts and Appetizers welcome too)
- Firewood IF you have any.
- Your old Christmas Tree (to burn in the fire pit!)
- Fireworks IF you want to put on a show!
OYSTERS ANYONE???
We have been circulating the idea of getting one, two or more boats and going behind Capers and getting oysters... Because of how the tides fall this week, this can only be done very early in the morning on Friday or Saturday.
If you have never gotten your own oysters, this would be a great opportunity to learn how. I need at least one person to volunteer a boat and I will supply all the tools and materials for the first boat (except for waterproof boots and leather gloves). Anyone over 14 harvesting oysters will need their fishing license. There is a 2 bushel per person limit and 6 bushel per boat limit.
Anyone who is interested (whether you have a boat or not), call Rick Stanton at 843-754-1912. Oyster gathering trip would be about 2 hours from launching to loading the boat at the ramp or from about 7:00-7:30 to 9:00-9:30 on Fri or Sat morning. Times based on launching from Garris Landing (Old Moore's Landing). Map & Directions: http://g.co/maps/zgprf We can launch from Shem Creek but it is much farther by boat.
